Gibson Falcon GA-19 RVT (1964)

This a nice mid-60s Gibson, with reverb and tremolo.  The control has obviously been stored in a damp environment at some point so the plating has been lost, this is reflected in the price.  The controls are Volume, Tone, Reverb, Trem Intensity & Trem Speed. Sonically it couldn't be better, it's been given a thorough service and the leaky and out-of-spec caps have been replaced.  The notorious "tone-sucking network" has been replaced with a 0.05uF cap, which is pretty standard for this particular model. The tremolo & reverb are both magnificant.  I also replaced the original, and marginal, CTS speaker with a really good, tone-appropriate WGS speaker.  Consequently, the amp has been transformed from very weak to really quite special.  It has a nice, original double footswitch.  A stepdown transformer is required to operate this amp at UK voltages.
