Very nice mid-60s Gibson Explorer. Appreciation of these authentic, attractive, mid-60s valve amps is increasing but they still represent great value.
Beautiful, vintage, warm tone that can be driven to achieve a nice, fat bluesy crunch, delivered by the original 12" Jensen Concert speaker. The tremolo is strong, melodic & deep. Pretty much everything is original, aside from adding a 3 pin plug and removal of the death cap, the amp is untouched, footswitch, handle, speaker, feet, all correct. I have given this a full service including replacing the worn power tubes with a new matched pair.
A stepdown transformer is required to operate this amp at UK voltages.
