Fender Silverface Drip Edge Vibro Champ (1968)

The US mains transformer was not original so I installed a good quality (Hammond) replacement which runs at UK voltage.  The output transformer in there when I acquired it is also a good quality modern replacement (Mercury).  I replaced the chipboard baffle which Fedex had kicked to pieces with a nice pine ply.  The Eminence speaker was sounding horrible so I installed a nice Weber Alnico Sig8A-S.  Also installed a new 6V6 as the existing one was playing up.  This amp is now looking and sounding very lovely again.  It's not a collector's item but it's had quite a bit of time and money invested in it and consequently it is electronically and physically sound and will last another 50 years without breaking a sweat.
