Fender Musicmaster Bass (1974)

This amp has no right to be this much fun to play.  Ridiculously, rich, creamy distortion with plenty of growl and thump to go with it. An utterly useless bass amp but a stupendously fun practise/recording guitar amp.  Hard to put down.  This is the cool, earlier, un-Fender-like version with the neon pilot light and switch on the vol pot.

During the service we replaced the filter caps, bypass caps, and added a fuse just to be on the safe side.   The amp features a transformer for the phase invertor to achieve 12W of 6AQ5A push-pull goodness with only 3 valves in total.
 
People who've known about these amps for yonks are already complaining how expensive they've got.  I expect that prices have got some way go as people switch on to them.  

Requires a stepdown transformer to operate at UK voltages.
