Fender Brownface Concert (1961)
Fender Brownface Concert (1961)
This is a really nice example of one of the best amps Fender made in the early '60s brownface erfa. The original Oxford 10K5 speakers are dated late '61 and come complete with bell covers, very unusual to find a set of four in such good condition. All the the iron is original, featuring the same beefy 45249 output transformer that was also used in the Tweed Bassmans. Some of the perishable passives have been replaced, as you would expect - filter caps, bypass caps, bias caps. We also did some targetted disk cap & resistor replacements around the oscilator circuit to bring the harmonic trem back up to its unworldly spec. Luckily this amp was made using blue Molded caps still well within spec. Requires a step down transformer to operate at UK voltages. Alternatvely, we can fit a UK voltage transformer for you at cost. Non-original footswitch included. This amp is in excellent condition and sounds amazing.
